Workspace Setup Tutorial

Use this guide to set up a business workspace where the company owns billing, seats, recordings, meetings, custom domains, access requests, enterprise identity, and security settings.

1. Create Or Switch Workspaces

  • 1

    Pick the active workspace

Use the workspace switcher in the dashboard header before changing recordings, meetings, domains, members, security, or billing.

  • 2

Create a separate business only when needed

A separate workspace should have its own domain and subscription. Staff using the same company domain should join the existing workspace.

  • 3

    Keep personal account settings global

Your user profile can belong to multiple workspaces, but workspace settings remain scoped to the active workspace.

2. Invite Staff And Review Requests

  • 1

    Invite members

Owners and admins can invite members, admins, or billing admins from the Team section.

  • 2

    Approve same-domain requests

If request-to-join is enabled, verified employees can request access when their email domain matches a claimed workspace domain.

  • 3

    Resend pending invites

Use Remind on a pending invite to rotate the invite token, email the teammate again, and copy the refreshed link.

3. Connect And Own Custom Domains

4. Roles And Permissions

Owner: billing, domains, admins, transfer Admin: members, join requests, domains Billing Admin: subscription and portal Member: workspace usage

5. Billing And Seats

The workspace owns the subscription. Active members consume billable seats on Team plans. Removing or suspending members updates seat usage; Pro remains a single-owner workspace plan.

6. Enterprise Identity

Domain Conflict Flow

If someone signs up with a company email domain that is already claimed, they see a privacy-safe message that a workspace exists for that domain. They can request access, auto-join if enabled, or ask an admin for an invite. Public email domains such as Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, iCloud, and Proton are excluded.

Owner Transfer

The current owner can transfer ownership to another active member from Team. Support can perform emergency owner recovery from Superadmin after verifying the customer request and company authority.
